Bhavnagar: Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP) leader Keshubhai Patel hit out at chief minister Narendra Modi on Monday on increasing crime across the state. During his ongoing 'Parivartan Sandesh Yatra' in Bhavnagar, Patel charged that the crime graph has spiraled up under Modi's rule. He also accused Modi of making false promises to the people and cheating them.
“When even the ministers in his government are not safe and there is loot in their bungalows, one can imagine how safe a common man is. There is 'goondaraj' in the state. One of his ministers was even externed,” said Patel in oblique references to Anandiben Patel and Amit Shah.
He said that people are afraid to approach the police who register complaints only under pressure from some influential people in the government. Patel has launched his yatra to garner support for his outfit ahead of the assembly elections in the state. He also raised the issue of farmer suicides in Saurashtra during the recent spell of water scarcity in his speeches at different places.
