President of GPP, Keshubhai Patel criticised CM Narendra Modi for the way in which the latter is carrying out his Vivekanad Yatra, that will roll from Tuesday.
“Modi is carrying out this yatra now when elections are round the corner. His yatra has nothing to do with the life and message of Swami Vivekananda. Modi is doing this at the expense of public money and government money,” lambasted Keshubhai speaking on the sidelines of his party’s public gathering of Valmiki Samaj on Monday in the city.
He added that if Modi really wanted to spread the message of Vivekananda he could have carried out a yatra in January itself. (Vivekananda’s birthday falls on January 12.)
Meanwhile, addressing the public gathering he said the idea of change or Parivartan in the state was born in May with the first meeting of Rohit Samaj in May. “I realised that people in the state desire change. They are frightened Modi government does not feel for backward class people,” Patel said.
