To,

Shri P Chidambaram,

Union Home Minister, Government of India.

RoomNo.104,
NorthBlock,
New Delhi - 110001

Dear Shri Chidambaramji ,

We would like to appeal to you to use your authority and good offices as Union Home Minister to intervene in the case of Gujarat police officer Sanjeev Bhatt. His wife Shweta has written to you with details of the blatant victimization he is facing because he has given evidence against the CM in the communal genocide case. Shri Sanjeev Bhatt has been sent to jail on a minor offense which is unproven, and is being denied legitimate bail. Not only has he been persecuted by the State Government for daring to reveal the truth, but he is being kept in inhuman conditions. As you are aware, a large section of the Gujrat IPS has also condemned the treatment being meted out to Shri Sanjeev Bhatt.

We, therefore, appeal to you to take immediate and effective action in this matter.

Thanking you,
