Share of Fixed Capita investment in Gujarat declined inspite of Vibrant Gujarats and signing of $950b MoU.
10,407 (30%) Sick Factories, Hires Japan to Fix Gujarat (C)
When there is such a huge Factory Sickness – over 400 factories are shut down, one for every working – he made no serious effort to ‘Revive Them’ and instead was ‘Licking the Boots of Every Foreigner – Even From Kenya and Ghana’ to help Gujarat industrialize, But opposes FDI in retail when Gujaratis own majority of shops in America & EU.
What a shame?
In earlier message I had reported slowing down of ‘Registration of Factories in Gujarat from 57% to 32%’ and operating units declined from 77% to 70%.
But the difference is before BJP rule there was SEVERE financial constraints – this alone Gujarat Budget Expenditure grew from Rs 38,000 crore to Rs. Rs.50,599-crore or 34% increase. But no effort was made to revive sick units.

Gujarat fixed Capital investment was substantial 16.32% but value additions was just 11.45% I attributed it to low value added Factories.
But recently found out 10,407 factories in Gujarat are not functioning out of 34860. Table29.
