Gujarat High Court will hear the appeals on the verdict of
2002 Sardarpura riot case on Friday. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) and
the state have filed appeals challenging the acquittal of the 42 accused.The
appeals will be heard on April 27 by Justice Jayant Patel and Justice Paresh
Upadhaya.A day before this,Mumbai-based NGO Citizens for Peace and Justice
(CPJ) in a press conference presented the witnesses of Sardarpura and Ode
riots.
