On the eve of the tenth anniversary of the Godhra train carnage, Chief Minister Narendra Modi has dared the ‘anti-Gujarat’ elements to create any rift among communities in the State.
Addressing the gathering after dedicating the newly renovated central jail in Surat, Modi said that a handful of Gujarat-bashers are hell bent on disturbing peace and people’s unity in the State.
He said that there might be only five to 25 ‘anti-Gujarat’ elements vainly trying all tricks and mischief to administer poison into society to create hatred between different people. Modi exuded confidence that the ‘anti-Gujarat’ elements would not succeed in their sinister design because the State has laid strong foundation of brotherhood and bonhomie. Describing the new jail as the country’s most hi-tech, the Chief Minister said it combines technology with humanity for reforming the inmates.
Modi also invited the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to study the system in the central jail to satisfy themselves.
